I'd suggest getting those IDE cables that are all, like, tube and stuff (I am technical!) They improve airflow, and are a lot more convenient if you are ever mucking about inside the case.
I'm not knowledgable about case makes, but the main things I'd check for is whether it's noise (or worse, whether it rattles), and whether it has handy USB (and firewire) sockets at the front, FOR ULTRA CONVENIENCE!
