Actually, a quick search reveals that this star is just a G5-type star similar to Sol itself. In that image, it's just that Sol has been thumbnailed for comparison, is all.

The movie is going to be terrible, isn't it?

How should I know? I haven't seen anything about it yet. And I think I am not the only one there. ;-)
Anyway, if they are really going to use the CGI RD then I for one will not watch the movie.

Well, they kinda have to use it, don't they? I mean, are they going to destroy the ship again, and have it rebuilt again, except this time in the pre-series-8 fashion?
Besides, if the main drawing factor of "Red Dwarf" for you is what the ship looks like, you have issues.
