B. May, 1913.
D. Today, 9:30am.

My grandfather passed away today. We knew it was coming - he broke his hip Wednesday night, and he hasn't been communicative since. I drove down yesterday to see him, he was just lying in bed, no sign of recognition, couldn't talk.

He's out of pain now.

I'm sorry for your loss, Jeff. It was good that you went to meet him.

Well, I'd met him before, y'know [Big Grin]

Yeah, I was poking around the farm a bit with my uncle Bill yesterday. It's probably going to be donated to the fire department for use as a controlled burn - the house is over 150 years old, and it's in bad shape. Anyway, I found this old book of photographs in a drawer above his desk, leather bound with bindings, I guess it was a photo-album of one of his older brothers (he had sixteen brothers and sisters). The photos are black and white (duh) and only a couple of inches big. Some of them are hard to make out. One of the early photos is of a young man standing by a calf (no jokes, sickos) - it reads, "George & Farm Buddy - 1929."

Sorry, man. All my grandparents are dead, so I know what that's like X4.

It was cool you went to see him, not being able too can make one have regrets for a long time afterwards.

It is also cool that he kept things like that, you can study your geneology in detail with that kind of treasure trove.
