Holy crap in a pita pocket. He ran over a Civic parked next to him!? Like, he didn't bump it but went Monster Truck Rally on it!?

MaGiC, you think anything that involves pain, destruction, and/or mayhem is fun.

What is this "Vice City"? And why wasn't it advertised in any way, and why has no-one ever heard of it, ever?

-------------------- Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

I got the accident report from the police. It places me as responsible for the accident due to my speed and the wet road I wasn't able to stop in time to avoid the Mack truck. Thankfully the only good news is that no one else was injured. Although my insurance, Geico, will be paying for damages.
I went for a follow-up, my right tibia/fibula which was an open fracture and my left ankle are healing fine. It'll still be several weeks before I can start walking again.
No Andrew I have not yet seen The Return of the King.
I'm not against 4-wheel drive cars like the Subaru WRX STi and Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. I'd love to own either of those cars. Once I'm walking again I'm probably going to get an 2003 Lancer OZ to replace my totalled Nissan 240SX.
Regarding SUVs. I've always hated them, my accident just gives me one more reason. The majority of people that own SUVs buy them as status symbols of wealth to show off they have $30,000+ to spend on a vehicle. Then complain how expensive gas is when they only get 15 MPG. Luxury SUVs is the biggest oxymoron, no way would you go offroading with a Porsche SUV and godforbid it get dirty.

That's great news that you're healing fine. Sounds like your tibia did the same thing mine did. It's going to leave a hell of a scar, though.

Speaking of the devils, one almost hit me today. I was going through an intersection, and an SUV on the cross street decided to run the red light he had. If he hadn't stopped in time, he would have hit me dead center on the driver's door.

Yep, ran right over the Civic. Not quite all "monster rally", but he crushed the trunk and the side. It was craaaaaazy. We call him Gary "The Civic Killer" now.

I saw my car yesterday. The driver side was completely fucked up beyond belief. The windshield was damaged from the outside by the Mack truck. I flew up from my seat slamming into the steering wheel which forced me back, not to mention my seatbelt locking up too. Had I kept going forward I would have gone through the windshield and head-first into the bottom of the truck. The point is, looking at my car, I'm lucky to come out of it with only a broken leg and ankle. Of course now all I want to do is get back to work. Sitting around a hospital all day doing nothing is hardly how I like spending my life.
