Okay, I'm trying to extract a clip from a DVD for a presentation in school next week, and the software I have just isn't cutting it. Does anyone know how I can go about this?

VirtualDub and MediaStudio can do this. AviSynth, too.

I think there are a lot of sites out there that explain how to rip DVDs. As far as I know, it's still a complicated process (requiring ripping the video and sound separately, and then putting them back together properly). Also, I suspect you might have to rip the whole thing (or at least a whole chapter), and then cut out the bit you want.

Okay, I must have misspelled something the first time I did a search. I'm finding things now. Thanks.
