Here is a neat article about personality tests: Against types.
quote:Each of the major personality tests has its impassioned defenders. But the dispute hasn't reached the clamorous level of, say, the argument over intelligence testing or the SAT. It may only be a matter of time, though. After all, the debate places two of our most powerful, and perhaps irreconcilable, impulses -- our desire to define ourselves in simple, concrete terms and our need to carve out a personal identity uniquely our own -- in stark opposition.

Fuck personality tests: no ones anything like me. ...and if there were, I'd kill them off.

So Trekkies are crazy... or sci-fi fans in general.

Seems about right, although I'm not sure that I'm that dependent.
-------------------- Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

Low on everything but Schizoid and Obsessive-Compulsive, in which I am moderate....
Which is about right, since I don't normally give a crap about much of anything, one way or another.....

I didn't follow the link. Though I think I may have taken it, or something similar, sometime last year, the results showing that, in general, I had a lot of problems, and I was very down for about an hour or so until I realized that I did not feel the need to get depressed when an online quiz told me the television analogue of my personality was Air Wolf, so, you know.

(Here is a vaguely related story: In the distant past [1996] my cousin sent me an e-mail with a fairly large attachment. "It's this program called Winamp," he wrote. "You have to install it so I can send you this awesome song." So I did, and he did. His amazing, incredible song that required the adoption of an entirely new media format? The theme from Air Wolf. My cousin is a little strange; but he turned his interest in neat gadgets into a well-paying engineering career in the field of sexy fighter jets, while I occasionaly work on the farm when I'm not handling obituaries.)
