Interesting, especially considering China's moon plans. Perhaps this is the start of an Asian space race...

Right now, the NASA yearly budget is only about 16.5 billion, so if Japan goes through with its plans, the U.S. would certainly have more incentive for a budget increase to help the moon/Mars program.

That'd be nice if North Korea spent their efforts on heading into space instead of blowing people up. Although, they really should see about feeding their own people first.

I'm with Jason, it's crazy talk about North Korea going into space. With Kim Jong Il still in charge, their going into space would probably mean deploying nuclear weapons up there.
