I'm sorry to inform you that Jennings has died of lung cancer at the age of 67. If you remeber he did a story on UFO's a while back and I discussed it on this forum. He was a damn good Journalist and he will be missed.

I heard about this morning--and I was upset. I somehow epected him to recover and come back to the news, but that didn't happen. Now all the Big Three are gone, within a year of each other.

Ironically I was in the checkout line and saw the Globe tabloid with a headline saying, "Peter Jennings weeks to live" on the cover. Not quite as bad as the Reader's Digest cover with an interview with Christopher Reeve saying "Reeve's optimistic about the future" or something released on the day he died.
