Yeah, it really says something about the confidence in a leader's country if they have to go to Cuba for medical care.
I mean really...Cuba?

Sure they do! A country that cant feed itself or even afford to paint public buildings would have better medical care than...er...
Yeah.
I dont think so- I live in South Florida and every family has horror stories of having to pull someone's tooth themselves or someone that died of a ruptured appendix because hospitals were too far away and ambulance serice is nonexistant.
Of course, if you're Castro's bestest buddy (or a foolish filmmmaker being taken on a propaganda tour) you get the very best!

The same Republicans that killed funding for NASA year after year are now lamenting the loss of so many NASA workers.
Lovely.

My favorite budgetary tidbit: the entire space shuttle program, over its entire existence, cost $192 billion dollars. The AIG bailout alone cost $186 billion.
How do we define money well spent, again?

Nothing like giving huge sums of cah to people that both warn terrorists and Taliban when US strikes will occur, but also kill journalists that report on the infiltration of extremists within the Pakistani military.
This was loooong overdue.

sadly, NPR completely lost the point of why he did it- that bit about religous people being allowed to wear "confessional head-dress".
It's getting to the point where the Pastafarian schtick is self-defeating- press becomes about the gag while ignoring the comparison protest.

It turns out it was a seventeen year old employee who helped put the bear man into bondage. This guy had a real dark past, I'm not too sad he's dead.

Well, if Bondage meant "Bad" half of Fort Lauderdale would be right there with Mr Bear. It's actually sad that the news story defined his life by these two incedents- for all we really know, he could have been the coolest uncle or helped save stray kittens or whatever.
So, sail on, bondage-bear dead dude! Second star to the left of Ursa Major...
Also still making news... bwhahHAHAHAA!!!! Now we'll see what a three ring circus the replublcans can make of "investigating" Murdoch's practices here in the States. I imagine they'll go ahead and cannonize him as a saint- possibly lick his boots while he testifies before Congress.
