Wow... and to think there might be guys like that around...

Wow. Just wow. That's amazing. I've never seen anything like that before. The very idea of it just blows my mind. That someone could use "Extras" and 'gets better' in the same context. . . just, wow.

This is what happens when you let Patrick Stewart on to the set early to "rehearse his lines".

I'd like to see a musical called Star Trek: My Fellow Captains.

Well, I guess we all know now that Patrick Stewart can't sing worth a damn.

Anyways I found this little clip from robot chicken, some of you might've seen it already.

The real reason people in Star Trek rarely get pregnant.

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change.
The courage to change the things I cannot accept.
And the wisdom to hide the bodies of all the people I had to kill today because they pissed me off.

Stewart CAN sing, given the right context. He's done it several times in TNG - "Insurrection" comes to mind, and the one where Picard gets abducted by introverted geek aliens. Oh, and the climbing song in "Disaster".

If you can find it, have a listen to Stewart's one-man "Christmas Carol", during which he portrays a myriad of characters and sings more than once. Pavrotti he's not, but he can hold a note.

I don't enjoy the embarrasment-angle of "Extras" but where Gervais really shines is in dialogue like this, the timing and delivery is sometimes awesome. "...on the grass!"

And anyone who claims that Stewart's music ear or vibrato is bad gets to schampoo crotches for the rest of the day.
He and Kelsey Grammer sound kind of similar. A duet with Xavier and McCoy would make for good extra DVD material. Sentinels in the background dancing Can-can.

Oh god... I can imagine finding an easter egg in the X3 DVD with an all out musical with Magneto, Xavier, and McCoy with everyone dancing and singing like Showboat.
