Hi, my name is Jason and I am an alcoholic.
I remember the good ole days, a six pack of 40 ouncers, a fifth of run, a pack or two of smokes, and the behaviour group.
I had a son, a wife, and a decent job in there somewhere once.
The only thing left from that list is the two packs of smokes a day, and I picked up a bit of depression someplace.... I'll give someone here one or the other, your choice. No charge.
Drew, are you sure you should have started this thread????

My name is Dan. I'm 25, and I still live in my parents' basement house, although I hope to rectify that as soon as I get off some apartment complex's waiting list in the very near future.
Ritten, I'm sorry to say that I can't take your depression, 'cause I've got my own, and I don't want the smokes. Sorry.
I currently work retail full-time, but it's actually much more fun and less soul-crushing than you might think. (That's only because of the company I work for and the people I work with, not because of my personality or the nature of retail.) Although it has still completely reinforced my opinion of the complete and utter stupidity of 90+% of humanity...

My name is James. I'm 27 and live in Idaho with my wife and two kids. I received my Masters in mechanical engineering in 2005 and currently work as an engineer in the nuclear field. Apparently I'm also the most right-leaning person here as well as a religious nut.

I had never been to your site before - or at least the ?revamped? version. It is really really cool!
I love the design section. Interesting about the Akira design - there is no denying that it is Sovereign Class - era instead of pre-TNG to fit with the 5xxxx registry number. I like the sketch from behind of the shuttle bays. I also like the idea of it being able to seperate!
Ich bin James also, but I'm not German. I am not an alcoholic, and am begining to wonder if Flare can drive people to drink, of if drink drives people to Flare.
I like to do the Telegraph crossword, and in my spare time I do the 3rd year bit of a biology BSc. I'm 6 foot something and have very auburn hair. I am drinking coffee, and like 45 speed singles.
I find Kiera Knightly irritating, drive a blue '95 reg. Nissan Sunny and write this on a laptop. I am not a super hero, and do not own any spandex.
-------------------- I have plenty of experience in biology. I bought a Tamagotchi in 1998... And... it's still alive.

Thanks. It was redesigned earlier this year. I haven't worked on it really since then. Maybe due in part to a lack of new Trek and my job does suck the life out of me. But yep, had that site since 1998, may not be the most popular or well known Trek site, but I'm proud of my work.
And since we're trying to be more social I will show my room well part of it anyway, the part I spend most of my time anyway. In a perfect world I would spend more time in the other part with my bed and Jessica Alba.
But as it is, I spend most of my non-work time driving my most favorite toy, a 2006 Subaru Impreza 2.5i.

I'm now erm... 28 (on the 3rd of December). I've been posting here or it's various incarnations since 1998 (I think - possibly 1997).
I'm a postgrad PhD student in physiology.
I got a new computer recently - but have been very busy that I haven't had a chance to do too much with it. It has a sexy 24" widescreen monitor.
I live in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
I like Star Trek obviously. At the moment like a lot of you here I'm in love with Stargate SG1, Stargate Atlantis, Battlestar Galactica, Lost and Dr. Who.
I'm yet to catch up on Atlantis, BSG and Lost as I've been busy. Haven't watched Torchwood yet either.
Music wise I like lots but I'll give a few ideas:
Tori Amos Bjrk PJ Harvey Radiohead The Smashing Pumpkins Sarah McLachlan Imogen Heap Regina Spektor Kate Bush Loreena McKennitt
to name but a few.
I procrastinate a lot. As can be seen by not replying to this thread sooner. Having said that I'm ringing up now about my computer - the left speaker buzzes at certain frequencies. Grr.

Maybe, maybe not. I just don't like talking politics much, especially around here.
I'm 32, have a wife and two kids, and am working as an aerospace structural design engineer in Huntsville, AL (aka Rocket City). And my real name is actually B.J.
I have a website in my profile, but you'll rarely see any pics of myself there since I'm the one usually behind the camera, so it's mostly the kids in the pics.

Hmmm a friend of a friend works on rocket stuff - I'm sure you all know each other. He came to the University of Queensland to work on the scramjet. He's gone back to the states now.
Got replacement speakers! Just have to check them out!

Wow... I feel like I'm in a 12 Step meeting. Here's my story:
I'm 24 years old and came to the United States back on January 22, 1990 in Los Angeles. I'm Filipino but most assume I'm Filipino-American because I sound like every gay valley boy there is. Yes... I'm gay, a homo, a meat stick smoker, a pansy with a pair of 5 inch gogo boots. I have two younger sisters so my house is full of estrogen. Just look at them since they are in my top 8 buddy list on Myspace (the link is in my Flare profile).
I'm a senior political science major at Cal State Northridge and I work for GoTV Networks, a mobile content firm in Sherman Oaks, Ca that creates original video conent (www.gotvnetworks.com) as the Quality Assurance Lead. Yes, it doesn't jive with my major but I'm a huge tech geek and its paying me to geek out everyday.
I've been involved with leadership positions since I started watching Star Trek: TNG when I was 9... hence my involvement with the US Democratic Party. I currently sit on the Stonewall Young Democrats Executive Board as Secretary and represent the group within the Democratic Party of the San Fernando Valley's Executive Board as the club rep. I plan on running as 2nd Vice Chair for DPSFV in Feb 2007 where if I win, I'll be the youngest officer of a club that represents 5% of the Democrats in California.
Aside from school, work, and politics, I am a Trekkie with a preference for TNG, DS9, TOS, VOY, and a fe ENT episodes. I like Windows and Mac, prefer Sony Ericsson phones with some visual attachment to Motorola handsets, like warm weather, Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf with Peet's Coffee over Starbucks, Corollas and Civics over BMW's, and a good long fuck or two during the day.
My name is Michael btw...
