Several years ago, the Toronto Star ran an article about proposals to increase the height of the CN tower to around 600 meters. The idea centered on removing the top mast with a group of helicoptors, add steel and concrete for another 50 metres, then plop the top mast down again. Interesting idea, or so I thought.
Turns out that this was an April Fool's prank pulled on by the newspaper. If one was to see the fine print on the graphic, it mentioned that this was a joke.
But it wouldn't hurt to see if this could actually become reality, eh?
