Mmm...email spam. Serves no purpose, does it? Wrong.
Most of you know I've been working on this Starfleet register project for a good long while. I'm very near the end of it; only 3347 entries left to make, a paltry amount. But now that I've got so many names, I'm sort of dragging for new ones. And spam is a great place to mine for them. You know those emails that come from names like "Kendrick Chemas" with subject lines like "nditam"? Yeah, those make awesome alien ship names, or at least inspiration for them. Sadly, my spam filter just doesn't fill up like it used to.
So I turn to you, our brave starfighters, and your navigators friends & colleagues, for assistance. You can help me out by scouring your own spam filters & sending the good stuff on to me. You don't have to open the spam or read it; I'm just looking at sender names & subject lines only. I've created an email account just for this purpose at [email protected]. Inform your friends, your relatives, your hated coworkers. Post it on community boards if you wish. Eventually, I'll get enough & the account will be closed. Maybe.
Your potted meaty goodness is my bounty. Gimme.

I'll forward mine your way. I see now what you mean about the names - Trygvi Getz, Denkov, etc... sound like ship names.

You know if you're that hard up I can write a program for you to obey a set of phonetic rules you come up with and generate an infinity of names of user-defined length. Or I can send you my spam. Whatever.

You'd think, but no.

The spam will be fine, thanks. Why make more work? Also, I'm on a Mac.
