Worst birthday ever... seriously, dying on your birthday, how much does that suck.

It does make calculating the age a lot easier, though.

Why does dying on your birthday particularly suck? If I knew I was dying near my birthday (from illness or something) I'd hope it'd happen on the day...it'd make me feel a sense of completeness and symmetry. Of course, my birthdays generally suck all on their own...and it's two days after Christmas, so you know, dying at Christmastime, there's some suckage in my case.

That must have sucked when you were younger. CHristmas and your b-day within days of eachother, did you just get a huge lot at christmas?

Yeah, that's it exactly, except instead of a huge lot it was a regular Christmas haul plus a birthday cake two days later. See, God forbid I'd get more presents than my little brother...

Yeah, you got the crappy "combo-holiday/birthday" gag. My birthday is July 4th- I used to get fireworks every year and people thought it was a cool birthday to have....except as a kid, everyone else is stuck with their parents watching fireworks or whatever- no party and TV is all patriotic stuff. At least good movies come out on that day.
I once dated a girl born on halloween- another awful birthday- she got candy instead of gifts growing up, and just like me, everyone else has plans for the evening.
Still, could be worse: Valentine's Day must suck really bad as a birthday: particularly if you're alone.

I don't have it that bad. My birthday is in August, so I always got a regular sized x-mas haul, and then a pretty good birthday haul. I know someone born on a leap year. Her parents are very...traditional. They only throw her a party every leap year, and only then does she get a huge haul. The years in between she gets a dinner and a few small gifts. That must suck.

Traditional? More like idiotic. I mean, pardon me since you know the people, but that's stupid.

I feel the same way. I normally invite her to my party each year, to at least give her some form of celebration. They are a loving family though.
