A friend of mine got to see him live once - even my mom once did. It seems like everybody I know thought he was truly wise and worth looking up to, and I personally think using using humor and sarcasm to convey wisdom is a beautiful art. I'll miss him. I've seen him on HBO, and although his humor is vulgar, it is painfully truthfull.
