Basically I'm looking for the quickest and easiest way to make MP3 audio clips from a DVD.
I like making my own soundtracks. And in Kevin Smith fashion, I like to include audio clips between songs.

I use GoldWave, which can record any sound played through your soundcard and save it in a variety of formats (including mp3). GoldWave also includes handy features like fade-out and fade-in, resampling, noise removal, etc.
The program is shareware and only allows a certain number of actions before you have to purchase it. However, since I'm a bad person, I use version 5.14. This is an older version of GoldWave that resets the counter when you uninstall and reinstall the program. The current versions of GoldWave can't be fooled the same way.
