Very quiet indeed... Is there anyone here?

[cue ska music] "This place, is coming like a ghost-place..."

I think everyone is glued to the TV watching the non-stop Huricane Floyd coverage---here on the WEST Coast of the North American continent, there's no escape from the updates and images of miserable reporters standing out in the wind and rain. I'm sure Europe is equally mesmerized with such coverage.

Yeah, it does seem quiet lately? Also I notice I don't like seeing my name so often, perhaps I should change it (also wonders exactly how much trouble that would be, to change my alias I mean).

Actually, I was watching that science show "Brave New World" on ABC. Not that I don't feel for those of you on the East Coast, but my knowing the status of Dan Rather's hair at this very minute isn't going to change anything.

I was just lurking in the corners waiting for someone to post something so I could hop in.

Actually, yesterday afternoon wasn't so quite. I picked up a bunch of CD's from a friend who was selling hers. I put in Candlebox and turned up the volume, being alone in the house for the first time in months. Great Disc. Recommended to all. I got a good Miles Davies, and some Eric Clapton, both new and old. Some old David Bowie, Paul MaCartney, John Lennon, Indigo Girls, Tom Petty. 23 in all.
