There's blood in the water.

"I'm looking for someone to change my life.
I'm looking for a miracle in my life.
And if you could see, what its done to me...
To lose the love I knew, could safely lead me to
The land that I one knew...
To learn as we grow old, the secrets of our souls."
Question, The Moody Blues

Freudleben? I'm not German so I'm not sure. Though some people think we are Germans, but that's a completely different story altogether.

Actually, Dutch is a Germanic language. Of course, it isn't the same thing, especially when you recall that English and Flemish are also Germanic languages and neither of those sounds a bit like "Deutsche".

I have heard that Flemish is actually quite similar to Old English.

It's Deutsch actually :]

But yes, there are some words in English that have changed in other languages like Dutch. Dutch for knife is now mes - which looks like the German word Messer. but the old Dutch word for knife (about 1400 or thereabout) was knive. This had me raise an eyebrow when I read it in a text.

There's blood in Catholic water. Metaphorically obviously.

*no it's not*

What?

*It's not a metaphour. It actually is Jesus' blood*

Eww, that's disgusting. Pft! Ick! Urgh!

It is said that the sacred well of Avalon was tinged slightly red and that it stained red slightly when spilt on things.... there was a secret chamber in the side of the well shaft, and Joseph of Arimathea put a vial of Jesus's blood there...
