Aha! I bet you thought this was a topic about skin colour or something. Nothing of the sort. This is about a bizarre mental labelling I seem to subconsciously do to all people I know well.
I try to slot them into being either red-collar, blue-collar or yellow-collar!
Red collars have charisma, a certain air of having a complex and deep personality. Perhaps a bit forceful and arrogant, as commanders can be.
Blue collarsare smart and intelligent. They are also particularly compassionate and/or emotional about people. Or they may be obsessed with quantum fluxes from quasars, but few people fit that last description. mad scientist also goes in this one. (Surprising proportion of girls fall in this too)
Yellow collars are the salt of the earth. Confident and outgoing, they like fiddling with things; mechanisms, computers, pictures. They love to party the most and may often be found at one, albeit under a table with a traffic cone and a contented snoring amid the empty wine bottles.
My circles of friends seem to contain a scary balance of colours, perhaps slightly geared away from red, as that's how I see myself.
Is this just me being very weird or do others do this? if so, what colour collar do you see yourself as being?

Well, seeing how the first and last choices don't quite fit, I'd have to say I'd be blue-collared.
