Great - these have to be in store for Christmas! [Wink]

Honestly, I think the guys who invented that idea have watched too much Star Wars and mistook fiction for reality.

Hey wait, Star Wars sounds familiar when it comes to U.S. defense technology... [Razz]

No. Unless you are counting Who Wants To Be A Millionaire as a terrorist attack, since it did cause people to start spouting inaine catchphrases.

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

Looks like the terrorists have won when your whole way of life is beginning to change. Having soldiers in uniforms on the corners of streets is similar to images you see of countries run by military-governments, police-states and countries in the midst of a war.

It's one thing to tighten security and be more vigilant.

Someone else has gotten into newark's stash...

Or maybe somebody saw a scene of a base town, or some weekend warriors on leave, and their misfiring neurons told them it was an everyday street scene.

That OFW looks like something from STAR WARS! Either a cross between the Endor Rebel Uniform and a Storm-Trooper or Zam Wassel SP?

It'll happen, if not now with Bush, then down the road, with another president. The only consolation I have is that our senator, at least one of them, fought against the bill. Both sides, liberal and conservative, have been chipping away at freedoms over the years, and I think the homeland bill will finally do it in.

Come to Fort Lauderdale. we have (still) National Guardsmen at the Port Everglades and they are still at the airports here and in Miami. M-16's and all.
The ocal cops have -for years- been waging their own ongoing battle with car/SUV thieves smuggling stolen vehicles out of the Port in large cargo containers....now local cops can't even enter the port and, as you'd need a search warrant for each container, nobody searches any of the outgoing freight. Nobody.
The border patrol annnd US Customs agency is currently concentrating their efforts on incoming freight and packages.
Hope you never get you car stolen in South Florida...your chances of getting it back are zero. stolen cars guarded by the National Guard. Cool, eh?
