It's just easier to throw this in here now than get it moved later.

So...yeah. A friend of mine posts on her blog a selector test to determine what form of "religious faith" might best suit you. She ended up with Unitarian as the #1 spot. I got the following:

1. New Age (100%)
2. Neo-Pagan (92%)
3. Unitarian Universalism (86%)
4. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (78%)
5. New Thought (78%)
6. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (76%)
7. Liberal Quakers (76%)
8. Mahayana Buddhism (76%)
9. Scientology (66%)
10. Theravada Buddhism (63%)
11. Bah' Faith (53%)
12. Taoism (53%)
13. Reform Judaism (51%)
14. Hinduism (48%)
15. Secular Humanism (48%)
16. Sikhism (47%)
17. Jainism (43%)
18. Orthodox Quaker (41%)
19. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (38%)
20. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (34%)
21. Orthodox Judaism (31%)
22. Nontheist (29%)
23. Jehovah's Witness (26%)
24. Islam (20%)
25. Eastern Orthodox (11%)
26. Roman Catholic (11%)
27. Seventh Day Adventist (10%)

I'm actually rather surprised at the "New Age" aspect. I guess building beliefs based on "Ishmael," "Stranger In A Strange Land," "Smilla's Sense Of Snow," "Fight Club," & Babylon 5 with smatterings of Egyptian & Asian tendencies will do that.

At the top, with 100%: Unitarian (which is apparently "believe whatever you want")

At the bottom, with 17%: Roman Catholic (see you in hell, Catholicism)

I appear to follow Reform Judaism. Which was a bit of a surprise.

Yes, you're despicable, and... and picable... and... and you're definitely, definitely despicable. How a person can get so despicable in one lifetime is beyond me. It isn't as though I haven't met a lot of people. Goodness knows it isn't that. It isn't just that... it isn't... it's... it's despicable.

Right on the money. No major surprises, unlike the political compass (which drifted a few degrees).

While we're on the subject: pity that religion and unitarian universalism / secular humanism are so often mutually exclusive. Best of both worlds, anyone?

A friend of mine noted secular humanism as basically saying, "OK, so you don't believe in anything..but hey! You're still nice to people..!"
