It's a good thing that Canadians don't have enough of a military presence anywhere to have much of a friendly fire incident against Americans, otherwise they'd have to put up with this, too.
That said, it would be nice if the autor of the article said, somewhere in there, what he'd have preferred to see happen. I love people who have gripes but no alternatives.
Personally, I would have liked to have seen the people who did the actual bomb-dropping subject to a joint Canadian/US trial of some sort.
But to be honest... what's the usual outcome of friendly-fire events? IIRC, just about what's happened, no matter who's involved.

True; not that that makes it right in any way. US forces do seem to be particularly blase about it though; which is apparently causing some concern among the forces of your allies BTW.
