Double post. That's another thing I'd like to rant about, but I suppose it deserves its own unique title.

Nothing to see here folks. Look at the other rant with the same title. Thanks for visiting.

Hmmm... It's wierder than that. I can see two threads with the same title on the topic list, but the properties are identical.

Okee, then I'll just post the original rant here anyhow.

(Nicotine-withdrawal-induced knee-jerk reaction follows.)
<RANT>I Hate it when I'm perusing the forums and someone puts a link that doesn't open in its own window.

It's simple folks. I give an example below for my own site:

<A HREF="http://www.geocities.com/Area51/Shire/8641/" TARGET=_BLANK>Alpha Quadrant Institute of Technology</A>

Remember this part in particular: TARGET=_BLANK

Insert it after the closing quote for the url and the closing bracket for the opening code for the link.

Got it? Good!</RANT>

OTOH, I prefer links that don't open in a new window all the time. When I'm done with a thread, I'll often click on a link so that a new window doesn't open (thus conserving memory and processing time). In addition, I always use "Open Link in New Window" (in Netscape) for everything else by habit, and so targeting links wouldn't have any benefit for me. FWIW, UBB code specifies a target anyway.

FYI, all my links have always been targeted for a new window. Unless I forget.....which is sometimes......see my senility rant for more info about that LOL

I just thought that everyone was screwing up and posting the same things twice. Like when my friend's grandmother called his house nineteen times over one afternoon, and each time was fooled by the same answering message:

"Hello?"

*Pause*

"Oh, hi!"

*Pause*

"How's it going?"

Josh: I think they're getting to know each other a bit too well, if you catch my drift.
Me: Oh, I agree. I think they're spending too much time together, that is of course, if you catch my drift.
Asher: I think he's *ucking her, and he's cheating on his wife, and he's risking his marriage, and if his wife finds out about it she'll leave him and take their son, and his life will be ruined. If you catch my drift...

Hmmm... I'm glad it's not a hallucination.

I feel unjustifiably proud to have been the first to discover this new form of dysfunctional double-post.

It would be even better if every repeat used smaller letters, so it would be like an echo.

You mean if we post in here enough it'll flood Baloo's email?

We wouldn't want to do that, would we?
