What's with people that sign up at their ISP with a handle like "drcox69"?! Do they honestly think this is cool? We deal with a lot of weirdos like this guy...

My name is frequently twisted into something it aint supposed to be. I have a different name I use everywhere else on the web. Wanna change it for me CC?

Really well I am HMS White Star almost everywhere, except in the places that I don't want to be know as HMS White Star (hey there are advantages of long names ).

Well, Michael_T is my name, but I have gotten a lot of strange comments on my other two screen names that I have on AOL, Promet6803 and AdmC12182. On Promet6803, guys ask if my major is in Greek Mythology, if I like Greek guys, and if I work in a museum. When I tell them that that screen name is named after the USS Prometheus from Voyager's "Message In A Bottle," people go "Ohh...so are you single?" And with the other screen name, people think that my name is Adam. But I tell them that it stands for my rank in my Star Trek club and my birth date: vice-ADMiral Colorge (1-21-82).

See, that's the problem with AOL. They have so many freaking users (or ex-users) that there are no NORMAL usernames left, forcing their users to get VERY creative, What I want to know is WHY (WHY WHY WHY WHY?!?!?!??!?!?!) does anyone use AOL? I'm VERY sure that you could find a local ISP with better rates and service than those guys offer.
I had a customer call me one day to sign up because he called AOL and spoke to one of their sales reps who told him he couldn't use their service because his modem was installed on Com5, and they would only support him if it was installed on Com1, 2, or 3. WHAT THE HELL DIFFERENCE DOES THAT MAKE?! None! What a bunch of bozos...
Yet another opinionated post from me.
