Imagine coming home to your house that you "supposedly" own, only to find that the locks have been changed, all your belongings are gone, and a new person is occupying the premises. That is what exactly happened to seven websites. Each one had their domain name "stolen" because of the possible cash value tied to the name.
http://www.web.net belongs to a non-profit Canadian Company which caters to social groups like the Canadian Labour Congress and the Canadian Auto Workers. As of this moment, they have managed to reclaim their domain.
http://www.bali.com belongs to a businessman and is supposed to be a hotel booking and travel site. As you can see now, the so-called thief has redirected the domain to a site promoting the island of Bali in Indonesia. Because of this, it is very possible that the company that is supposed to own bali.com will go under.

I don't know about the other five, but I do have some articles relating to this fact.
