I don't think they're evil as much as taking advantage of kids. But that's been done for ages. My niece started wearing makeup at the age of seven. When I went to school they started when they were twelve.

Try my ranting: I think the bands are shallow, materialistic and banal. And their music is plagiarizing and dull.

The syncronized dancing is also annoying, I mean nobody can stand out from the group any longer, no pun intended. But I understand that when a trend comes everyone wants to mimic the good parts, like Elvis, Beatles and NKOTB, so I'll just wait this one out.
