You do know that they are edited for US readers, don'tcha? Because if an American read a book, and came across the word "trousers", they'd obviously burst into flames.

Liam: Actually, I noticed that in the first one when I saw terms like "soccer" showing up. I didn't pay much attention in the second and third ones, but the fourth one, I've noticed, actually calls soccer "football", among other things.

And the word "git" is in them often enough. I would think that would be more confusing to American kids than "football"... :-)
