The purpose of the station, like each and every station that preceded it, is to pave a road to the stars. This station is consuming the research and funds needed to do the subsequent steps after the space station. Any additional funds will have to come from the budget of NASA for the tax cut bill has for the most part locked in spending for the next 10 years. This could result in more cuts at NASA. How can we justify this project? If the station building project goes further ahead, NASA will be a bloodless corpse in less than a decade.
