His kidnappers were seeking for a Jew who espoused anti-Islamic rhetoric. The US Government is angered by this event and promises greater scrutiny into the incident. Member # 31 posted                       Well, as for whether or not he was Jewish... His name was Daniel, and his parents' names are Judea and Ruth. I'd guess that, even if he wasn't Jewish himself, he was probably from a Jewish family. Either that, or he's of Hebrew descent. Blue, having your throat slit with a knife is being knifed to death. Now, I don't when after this he was decapitated, but I don't think it takes all that long to die from a slit throat.
