A while back, we had threads laureling George Bush's policies on the Environment (which I find a bit insignificant if you ask me). We also talked about Global Cooling instead of Global Warming (which I also do not believe, despite the fact that it has been relatively cold here as of late).
All you Bush supporters may believe that he can balance the interests of the Environment and Business without problems. I do not believe so. After all, he can't even do that in his former province of Texas.

So Bush is solely responsible for a problem that's been going on for 50 years.
Yeah, so maybe when he was in office, Bush didn't do anything about the Alcoa plant.
What did Ann Richards do about it? Or did all the pollution magically disappear during her administration? Did the faeries come and cart it away for her?
And if he's being criticized for not doing anything about it as president, because he's supposedly "in the pocket of big oil," then what's the explanation for the previous eight year's inaction? Does oil own Clinton too, or is it his Kryptonite?
That's the problem with long-term problems... legitimately placing the blame.
If anything, they should be blaming the lawmakers who put the exemption in back in 1971.
