Leave it to Mike McMahan to both have fun with *and* deconstruct the whole multiverse craze. I still can’t believe they got all these actors back.
I had to drop back in here because I got a strong Series ? vibe from Boimler’s temporally-displaced crew chasing the alternate timeline villains (except not really villains after all) who were wreaking havoc in the Federation. T’Pol, Curzon Dax, Dr. Garak and EMH-Bashir, plus a multitude of Ensigns Kim was hilariously weird.

All they needed was a Braxton appearance.

Too little, too late. This season has been woefully substandard, not a patch on at least the last two. It’s a big shame, but it really feels like they’ve run out of ideas. I don’t know how much of the season was in the bag when the cancellation was announced: if some of it, presumably not all given they’ve been able to produce an apparently “huge” finale.
That nobody - not just Kren - has bothered to keep up with the episode threads speaks volumes.
We’ve given up, haven’t we?
I’m still engaged by SNW but I know I’m in a minority there.
I could say “Section 31 might be OK? Paramount sucks at promotion (particularly in merchandising), which is why the S31 trailer sucks so much: remember the awful way Beyond was promoted?” - but I don’t really believe it’ll come to pass.
And while they seem to be throwing one hell of a cast together for the Academy show, it’s still not enough to make me want to watch.

I love the show but not enough to pay for another streaming service.
I gave up on Discovery after season 3. Lost interest in SNW when they kept breaking continuity but insisted they were only bending it. Section 31 looks atrocious and I really despise the 32nd century aesthetics so I'm not at all interested in the Academy show. I prefer rewatching TNG, DS9 and even VOY over watching most of the new stuff.
