Okay, here we go.
• Tilly, growing on me. Doesn't hurt that Mary Wiseman is pretty bangin'. • The return of unVulcan Vulcans. • I KNEW they were lovers...! • I think all y'all who think Tyler is actually Voq are wrong. • Apparently, mycelium exposure turns you into that stoner douchebag from high school? Maybe it's just being part of the drive, instead. • That arrowhead scar looked suspiciously like an intentional brand. • I was certain Lorca was gonna blow her ass up Vreenak-style. Would've been more interesting than the cookie-cutter actuality. • The dialogue cues in the Sarek story now have me some 80% certain that the event "mentioned but not discussed much" the series is based around is Axanar, which "made Mr Spock & me brothers". It'll probably be the end of the show, which means maybe we see Garth of Izar eventually. (But Kirk was a cadet, & he'd've graduated by now, so...?) • I wish she'd mentioned another ship. Lexington, Constellation, Exeter, Hood, anything but Enterprise. It came off as cutesy winking.

Tilly is epic with that hair. Some of my most notable mistakes have been due to hair like that, albeit admittedly not as epic. That said, Wiseman has some sort of weird skin thing going on, but I'd still play with that hair until my fingers bled.
And since you mentioned it, yes, Voq is Tyler.

They are so gearing up to an Axanar battle, right?
Anti-Federation Vulcans planting bombs might explain why Kirk said that Axanar was a battle that allowed him and Spock to be brothers.
Maybe the extremists will be found out to be colluding with the Klingons, or sabotage the peace process. The outcome of the war will be Vulcans accepting that other races are as valuable as they are, bringing some sort of close to Burnham's story and validating Kirk's comments a decade later.
Also.. about all .. that. Admiral Cronwell is looking mighty fine for 57 years old. Genetics are on point in the 23rd century.

Also, I forgot: proto-holodeck...that looks & acts just like a holodeck...a century before holodecks.
Not particularly. It's been shown in TAS and in TOS in a limited form. Gene apparently wanted to implement that tech idea into TOS but obviously couldn't due to budget and whatnot.

Well the timeline of his rape story doesn't work out.

Michael = Alice, Tilly = Doormouse/Mouse; Saru = Caterpillar, Lorca = Mad Hatter, Georgiou = White Queen, Discovery = White Rabbit, Tardigrade = Cheshire Cat...
The plot of the first episode was ridiculously stupid.
Captain and First officer going to super important mission to fire few plasma shots into a well. Because that's not the job for simple grunts, and the authors cannot come with anything better to show us the bond between those two.
Then this Vulcan trained first officer who didn't make a single logical decision, but a bunch of retarded emotional actions that lead to catastrophe. She literally didn't make a single logical decision. How is that even possible?! Oh and don't forget 20 minutes and your DNA is changing into spaghetti.. but that's not really a problem because we can fix that for 3 hours.
