Not to sound like a ninny, but shouldn't Voyager's warp table be the same as every other TNG and beyond ship's warp table? Unless there's been a recalibration and no-one's told me about it.

It should, unless a recalibration has taken place. Does the warp factor consider that the interstellar medium contains gases and various particle?
Idealy Warp 2 would be 10 times the speed of light, but here in this area of sector 887799, with the last dying remains of the Candy Cane Nebula, it is closer to 9.987 times the speed of light.

I believe the equation I saw was W^(10/3), where W is the warp factor. 'Course, that ceases to apply after warp nine, due to the warp ten speed limit.

There is an equation that does speeds for all warp factors (the one TSN was discussing), but it is mindnumbingly complex. So mindnumbingly complex, in fact, that it must have taken a horde of supergeniuses to even begin to put the thing together. So mindnumbingly complex, that I have to input it piece by piece into a spreadsheet program to keep them straight.
This last number is _very_ close to number given for the speed of subspace communication in the Encyclopedia.

Which is why I nominate "Threashhold" as the worst, most destructive episode ever produced. Because, if the the shuttle could travel Warp 10, it could also travel warp 9.999999999999999999999999999999999999999. They could just shuttle a truck load of people back and forth and everyone would be home in time for dinner without mutating into lizards.

It's 'Threshold'. (Or 'Trashhold' as I've seen some people call it.)
And they could have done the same thing in 'Timeless' with the Delta Flyer.

Or just go home at warp 10 and delizardify themselves like they did for Paris and Janeway.

Well except for the Doctor, and he can cure it. Only Voyager can't control where they'd end up at. At least I think that's what they said.
