Personally, this Q2 idea sounds a bit similar to the squire of gothos idea from the original star trek series.

I think Delancie on "Voyager" has been some of the better eps. His presence didn't help Andromeda much, but it wasn't his fault. He wasn't omnipotent, just very rich. A decent ep really, just a tired ending.
