Terok Nor is a Bajoran station contracted to the UFP to run under the name Deep Space 9. Upon the UFP withdrawl from the system, the Dominion took up the day to day operations of the station, with much the same agreement.

But the runabouts couldn't have been there. There's just no way, Sisko wouldv'e left three Federation Starships on the station. At the same time, they were only runabouts eith limited tech on board, so if they were on Bajor (the Dominion never occupied Bajor) it's doubtful the Dom would've made a big deal about it.

I doubt that the 'bouts were left on Bajor. They would have been originally piloted by Starfleet personel. So when they dropped off the Bajorans they probably took off to a nearby Starbase.

Certainly possible. They would have had to high tail it though. Whatever the case, there's no mention of the 'bouts returning after the fleet retook the station. They just sort of are suddenly there again. I think the producers just sorta forgot about them when Sisko left. Boooo.
