Trekweb linked to some soundtrack samples (30 second cues). They sound pretty good. a bit of synth mixed in there.

I just.. got.. the whole sound track. Very nice. There is a bit of First Contact/Insurrection/The Motion Picture/The Final Frontier mixed in, but, I think Goldsmith is trying to introduce a familure element for all the scores.

The theme itself is excellent. Its both epic and dark. Overall, a pretty short soundtrack. Why cant star trek films get 2-disc sets? It was hard enough for me to find the Insurrection and First Contact full scores, something tells me finding the full score to this wont be as hard.

IMO, some of the best music in First Contact was left out of the OST and is only in the unreleased score... thats I purchased... yeah.
