Last year I told Spike that I'd scan some articles on the Trek movie costumes that I had in my filing cabinet. I just did the first one, which appeared in Fantastic Films magazine in early 1980 ) I believe.
The article in question is seven pages long and is primarily about the costumes for the aliens in the film, and talks about the costume materials used and a little bit about each race.

Cool, thanks for sharing this with us. Not to sound greedy, but you got anymore more material from back issues of Fantastic Films and Starlog?
I am still kicking myself for letting myself get talked into getting rid of my old issues of Fantastic Films and Starlog when I was relocating to another state. Alas.

i bought a couple cases of old Starlogs a couple summers ago.. flipping through them was a blast, reliving the 70s and 80s of genre fiction, but not a helluva lot was relevant tothe Trek universe.. i think my favorite find was a pic of Jane Wiedlin in her Cmdr Trillya makeup, i never got around to scanning it, hope i can dig it up soon.

Oooh! Great stuff. They did put a ridiculous amount of effort in those TMP aliens, didn't they? Because in reality, they're almost unidentifiable on-screen.

Could you please scan the article about the TMP uniforms as well?

I'll scan and post whatever I can find. Mind you, it's not a fast process, because to make those images readable and not make them even huger than they are now, I did a lot of cleaning up and processing so they'd compress better.
What I did with my old Starlogs, etc., was pull out the pages of the articles I found of interest and made a file folder of them.
At a glance I see two other articles on Trek Movie costuming. I'll see if I can scan them over the weekend.

I like the Vulcan on page 3. She is pretty and her costume is fantastic. I think this look is more natural to the Vulcans than the cat suit worn by T'Pol. I do believe we did see a Vulcan commander in DS9 who wore robes.

Since all but two pages are in black and white, I'd say no.

Hey, the Arcturian Clones look to be wearing a leathery version of the TMP uniform with red arm-bands and military decoration.
They have the 'monitor' on the front of the uniform and the delta symbol on their tops. And the things that go over the shoulders that appear on some of the TMP uniforms.
