It has some right ideas about why Star Trek relationships don't work, negative portrayal of homosexual relationships and an attitude about relationships circa Captain Proton.

I think there's certainly a point to be made about the unbelievability present in many Trek relationships, but a lot of the author's examples seem to be stretching things a bit. Saying that Picard and Vash don't work because Stewert is too old?
I'd also have to take issue with the description of Roddenberry. TOS had a sixties view of sex, sure. But the first pilot had a woman who seemed neither dumb nor "available". And Uhura and Chapel, while indeed subordinate, were never treated as objects by the crew.
Then again, I'll be the first to admit that my views on relationships are a bit skewed in the first place.

I sent a letter to treknation, telling the writer, that if she wanted a show based on relationships, to switch to Ally Mcbeal.
I don't know about you all, but I never gave a rats behind whether Picard and Crusher got it on or not. Never really liked the Worf/Dax or Kira/Odo story lines. The only couple on trek that had much interest for me was Kieko and Miles, and that was mostly to watch them fight.

Voyager having people in relationships is easier to buy, since they are so far away. Tom and Tores hasn't been done that well, but maybe a miricle will happen, and the stories will get better.
