[possible spoilers, I guess]

I can't remember now, but did Daniels and Archer ever reveal what destroyed the Earth in "Shockwave"? I'm looking for a possible Xindi connection here. Granted, the Xindi potentially destroy Earth long before whatever happened to it in that timeline (that Earth had a Federation by then), but there could be ripples here. Could the Xindi be responsible?

I thought that the Future Earth in "Shockwave" had no Federation, since Daniels points out the monument to the Federation wasn't there.

Anyway, I don't think it was the Xindi responsible for the devestation. It looked like Future Earth had been orbitally bombarded by conventional weapondry (similarly to the Vaadwaur planet from "Dragon's Teeth") instead of having a superweapon used on it.

That's what I figured, too -- that Earth had been defeated/destroyed by some alien power (most likely either the Romulans or the Klingons) because they didn't ally with the other nearby worlds to form the Federation.

The effects of the Xindi weapon would probably be more akin to the Death Star that it was ripped off of in the first place. [Wink]
