OK, I lied. And yes, I am a escapee from the Trek BBS. For the record, I'm biased against Enterprise. Now I just discovered the Preview Post buuton. Now I don't have to edit 9 times...

lurkers are intrigued but scared by this forum. it took me months of reading before i built up the courage to ask if the 4 large squares on the bottom front of the enterprise d's saucer were the auxiliary navigational deflectors (this was back when i had few trek resources). fortunately, i didn't just state my stupid opinion that noone cares about, so i got a straight answer of "yes".

Personally, I'd be more scared of the TrekBBS.

yeah, but at least with trekbbs the amount of active posters is large enough that you can blend inwith the crowd [Smile] . it's a very stupid crowd, but a crowd none the less.

Well, I've been around the TrekBBS a few times before, but around here there is no clique-like interforum rivalry like there is there, so our discussion is actually discussion about the shows merits, rather than venturing into other forums to snipe at people from the proverbial 'other side', or even worse, discussing venturing into other forums to snipe at people. So posting a big pointless, overargued statement like 'i think enterprise sucks', or whatever you had originally put, serves no purpose here. and there is no crowd to hide in. And editting a thread after people have replied to it is pointless, as it should be painfully obvious, because the people who replied probably remember what it was about and therefore, arent going to be fooled by you hiding the original post
