Well, I was referring specifically to plots in which a piece of equipment on the Fleet's flagship or other commissioned ship suddenly stops working correctly and the crew has to race against a deadline to fix it. I think most people are tired of this particular plot. I was not attacking the whole basis of a series with a continuing cast! Jeez!
