I'm still somewhat new to posting on a BBS, so please bear with me. I've read over the UBB Code, but all it says about posting images is to surround the image URL with the code. Well, what if the image I want to post is on my hard drive (say, a scanned picture from a magazine) and doesn't have a URL?

Then you can't post it anywhere. In order for a link to work, the image has to be on a server somewhere. You could look into grabbing some free webspace to store files.
No, the above URL is not real, although the directory is, I noticed some one used it in my 404 error logs.... ------------------ I am going to buy Japanese cars from now on, because the auto workers got the day off to vote and the state went to Gore, so I want to see how many we can get unemployed. Thanks, Ritten. Once I get some pics together, I'll send them to you.
Actually, one of the reasons I asked about posting my own pics was because I was browsing some of the old posts, and came across one concerning pictures of the actual people who post here. After seeing pics of Frank and Fabrux (I didn't know he had a goatee ), I thought it would be cool to have others show their pictures, especially Bernd, Timo, and Chris, who I've been corresponding with for almost a year and have absolutely no idea what they look like.
Is there even a remote interest in this from anyone, or have I made an obscene, blasphemous suggestion?

Hey, Ritten, could you also put a map sketch of mine on that site, at least for a while? Some people have been asking for me to put it on alt.binaries.startrek but this would probably be easier for everybody. I promise to add a signed photo of my ugly face for Dukhat's benefit as soon as I can get one scanned.
