I've just read that Ray Walston (Boothby) passed away at age 86.

Which can be read here: http://news.excite.com/news/r/entertainment/entertainment-people-walston-dc

But seems to omit playing Boothby in episodes of TNG and Voyager.

Well, he did do a lot more than just a couple of guest-appearances on "Star Trek." I remember him more from "Picket Fences" myself.

I agreee, I remember him more as the judge on Picket Fences than the head groundskeeper of Starfleet Command in Star Trek.

He was good, a typical old-school actor. Everything but the "Targ-manure" remark, but it wasn't his fault.

(What's the right code for a sad smiley?)
Every so often I catch reruns of "My Favorite Martian." Funny.

My gf had thought that he died more than a year ago... then we saw him on Voyager. Oh, well.

No more Boothby episodes.
