hang on...Chill the beans a half-second, Darkstar, no-one's bashing you outright. You're obviously new to the whole bulletin board thingy, and having some trouble finding your niche (although just coming out with numbers (Numb-ers)is the prevailing trend - joke ).
You say that when your father died, ST provided you with a chance to escape for a little while, to take your mind off the awful tragedy that you'd experienced. That's perfectly understandable, and your love of Trek is clearly evident in the time you put into coming up with thoses afore-mentioned Numb-ers on various things e.g. distances and warp tables.
It's just that some of those here dislike reams and reams of numbers being jammed down their throats without much explanation as to their origins. How about setting yourself up with some web space (Tripod, Geocities, etc.) and then you could make tables/graphs/maps of your stuff, and then post the links so those interested could peruse them at their leisure. You could also have decent, in-depth explanations of where the Numb-ers came from, who you may have collaborated with, and the like.
Not only that, but it'll also grant you the tme to refine your ideas, and dare I say it, your typed English. I'm sorry, but it is exceedingly hard to read most of your posts - even the one you opened the thread with needed 2 or 3 readings before the gist hit me.
Think about what you want to say, put it into words in your head, type it out, then read what you've typed and see if the rest of us could decipher it without having to resort to some Rosetta Stone analogue.
[/LECTURE MODE]
Just give things a bit more thought, be a tad more considerate to those non-anally-retentive amongst us that haven't a notion of trawling through loads of Numb-ers, and you'll soon start...em, doing something right.
Peace.
General Discussion isn't the place for this, BTW - to the Flameboard or OL, hmm?
