Topic: A brief and immaterial thought about Series V sleuthing.

A major nitpick I already have is about this pre-warp ship having been called Enterprise. If memory serves, TMP shows the history of ships named Enterprise. Assuming the Series V release is accurate (I doubt it is), we have the design of the new ship already. And if they do move forward with an Enterprise of a new design, I will be very disappointed from the get go.

But the TMP wall display omits many in-between ships, like the WWII carrier and most of the sailing vessels. Thus, there could easily be dozens of sublight or early-warp ships named Enterprise, and the picture of that "Declaration class Starliner" just happened to represent them all. Perhaps by touching the display, one could have chosen the other pictures?
That's the way I'd set the display:
-First, a complete history of the sailing ships Enterprise (including the real ships and the fake from "Generations") -Second, a complete history of the powered seagoing Enterprises (including the two carriers and possible fictitious/future ships) -Third, a complete history of primitive spacecraft named Enterprise (including the test shuttle and possible other primitives) -Fourth, a complete history of stargoing spacecraft named Enterprise (up to and excluding the first one actually designated as a starship) -Fifth, a complete history of the first incarnation of NCC-1701 -Sixth, a complete history of the refit project.
Previous visitors would then have left each of the sections in random positions.

Having the fake ship from Generations would have been impressive, especially 15 years before it was thought up.

They were the newer Galaxies with the "cobra necks" (no, I don't know either) and the phasers on the nacelles.

I'm just repeating something I heard in here, not some fannish BS off the top of my head.
Me, making unfounded claims?
With my reputation?
What were they thinking?
