Could Wesley be returning to Starfleet? Quoth the actor:
"The fitting today at Star Trek wardrobe was AWESOME," the actor wrote on his web site yesterday. "I got to put on the dress uniform, and see Marina [Sirtis] (Deanna Troi), and the costume designer, Bob Blackman, who I haven't seen in YEARS."

Well, I suppose the worst case scenario is that he is back in Starfleet, no explanation given.
The even worse case scenario is that a three-line explanation is given, and perhaps not even hidden behind other dialogue or walla like Worf's excuse in "Insurrection" was.
The one that beats even the even worse case scenario in terms of gut-wrenching repulsiveness would involve Wesley making his big comeback from demigodhood there and then, on screen, and it's a plot point.

Well... WW definitely doesn't stick with his principles. For as long as wilwheaton.net has been up, he has been voicing his anger and disgust regarding his treatment by B&B during and after his time on the show. Now he's decided to make a comeback out-of-the-blue, and forgive 'm? Riiiiiight.

Maybe he re-appears like Q... in Starfleet Uniform!?! But really, Wesley is only just exploring the universe on a different plane - he has to dress like everyone else... I guess this means it won't be a traditional Betazoid wedding!?!

I've seen her naked. She isn't anything special.

I expect Wesley will appear without explanation, or reference to his extra-dimensional escapades. But I really have no problem with Wheaton being in the movie, as long as it isn't him 'saving the day', or the ship, right at the end.
