We've had one for TNG, why not one for DS9?

In the Pale Moonlight
The Visitor
Duet
Necessary Evil
Visionary

I've got to back you up on

"In the Pale Moonlight" and
"The Visitor"

I liked

"Sacrifice of Angels"

and other ones around the same time purely for the killer starship scenes. Other good ones were

"Rocks and Shoals"
"Children of Time"

--------------------
"Nu ani anqueatas"

It's near impossible to list only 5 favourite episodes of a series of such quality as DS9. I have to give it a go though-

1)In the Pale Moonlight
2)The Die is Cast
3)Tacking into the Wind
4)Rocks and Shoals
5)Emissary

3) Sacrifice of Angels
4) Trials and Tribble-ations
*thinks back*
5) One Little Ship

These are some of my FAVORITE (no silly "U") episodes of DS9.

You have NO idea how HARD this has been...

I posted 10 for TNG, so I'm posting 10 for DS9... I wanted to post 20 - but after some heart-wrenching decisions... the extra 10 are below the main 10. Again in no order (except for "The Visitor" which is the BEST episode of Star Trek ever - and most probably the best hour of television EVER made):

The Visitor
Duet
Improbable Cause
The Way of the Warrior
The Quickening
In the Pale Moonlight
His Way
Once More Unto the Breach
Rocks and Shoals
Family Business

Emissary
Sacrifice of Angels
Crossover
Heart of Stone
Visionary
Facets
Trials and Tribble-ations
Business as Usual
Far Beyond the Stars
The Seige of AR-558

I have seen far to few of DS9 on far to infrequent of a basis recently to offer an informed opinion.

However, DS9 still rocks.

I liked the early and nontraditional ones, with unapologetic aliens as central characters.

1. The Wire
2. Duet
3. Return to Grace (okay, not so early)
4. Homecoming/The Circle/The Siege
5. Jem'Hadar

I also liked most of the Ferengi B-stories, but the actual Ferengi episodes won't fit into my Top 5... "Business as Usual" and "Bar Association" would be within Top 10, though.

I'm surprised no one else (except AndrewR) mentioned "Far Beyond The Stars". I think Benny's break-down at the end is absolutely gloriously acted by Avery Brooks.
