In the pilot episode we see at the very start the Cardassian Galor Ship Vetar chasing the Maquis Raider into the Badlands. In the encyclopedia it states that Gul Eveks ship was destroyed by a plasma storm however when voyager enters the badlands it uses data such as maquis course from the cardassians. Therefore, was Gul Eveks ship detroyed or damaged?

I can't remember the pilot much at all, but from your description, maybe the Cardassian ship was relaying telemetry back to base when she was destroyed. So Voyager could still have been using course information from a destroyed ship.

They weren't destroyed immediately, anyway. Right after they got swiped by a plasma storm, Gul Evek's ship sent out distress signals on all Cardassian frequences, as per Tuvok, I think.

Had Gul Evek's ship been destroyed, it would explain why we haven't seen him since.
I believe Evek was also in the TNG ep where Wesley leaves Starfleet.

Gul Evek was seen in "The Maquis Parts 1 and 2" too. I didn't think his ship was destroyed - it definately wasn't SHOWN... it was just shown to be swiped by one of those plasma 'funnels'.

I just bought "Caretaker, parts I and II" today at the video store (first 6 Voyager eps are now for sale, might I add!). I'll check it out later today to see exactly what happened.
