I was looking through the latest issue of TV Guide for June 10 - 16, there's an episode summary for "Message in a Bottle" that says, "Dr. Bradley: Andy Dick." For starters, where'd that come from? TV Guide wouldn't make it up.
It also reminded me of their coverage of Voyager when it first started and listed the EMH as Doctor Zimmerman. And on a side note, Neelix as the handyman and cook. I assume that TV Guide got a hold of the series bible which probably said that the EMH would choose the name of his creator.

I think it's quite possible that TV Guide simply made it up.
As to the Zimmerman thing, that was going to be the name the Doctor chose, not the name of his creator. The writers chose to take a different direction with the character. The Zimmerman name was later recycled for the Doctor's creator.
Silly question, but did Zimmerman show up on DS9 before or after his first appearence in Voyager?
