Okay, here it is, the moment you have been waiting for. Voyager will get home in episode 17, and here are the details:
We begin with the standard stock impuls fly-by. Then we go to the bridge where Tuvok mentiones that he has found traces of some rare stuff called beryllium close by. B'Ellana gives a speech on how to use the stuff to savely overpower the warp core. Tuvok tells the captain that the beryllium is on a planet several lightyears away.
When they enter orbit, they find that the atmosphere has some type of radiation which prevents beaming, and also makes it difficult for shuttles to get through. So Chakotay, Tuvok, B'Ellana and Tom go down to the surface in the Aerowing (!).
Down on the planet they find a huge amound of sea vessels and airplanes from different species, including ours. After identifying several ships, Tom mentiones that several of these ships and planes were lost in the Bermuda Triangle. Suddenly Voyager picks up three vessels coming towards them. Janeway hailes the lead ship and an angry alien tells them to leave or they'll open fire. Janeway gives the usual 'my guns are bigger' speech, but finds herself outgunned.
The away team is warned to get back as soon as possible, but Chakotay and Tom find a Talaxian female in stuck one of the ships and rescue her. Suddenly Harry finds a nearby Kazon mothership and they ask for help. The Kazon help out, but end up destroyed just after the last alien vessel leaves. The away team returns with Chakotay and Tom dissapointed that they didn't have time to solve the Bermuda Triangle mystery. B'Ellana starts modifying the warp core. Neelix is introduced to the Talaxian, who then appears to be Neelix's long lost girlfriend. Just before a second wave of alien ships comes to attack Voyager they turn on the enhanced warp-drive and are on their way home.
After about half an hour the beryllium is all used, and the crew find themselves about 15000 lightyears closer to home. They barely oriented themselves when 5 Romulan Warbirds decloak. Voyager is being hailed. And after some small talk they find that one of the Warbirds has a shipment of beryllium. The Romulans agree to help, and after a short time we see Voyager with 3 Warbirds as escorte enter warp.
On Earth we see Barcley looking at several consoles when an alarm beeps. He walkes to the beeping console and looks surprised. Then he yells: "They are home! They are home!". He then calls Troi, and we see Troi looking at a console with Barcley yelling: "They are home!". Troi tells him to calm down and that she will inform Captain Picard.
We then go back to Voyager and the 3 Warbirds in orbit of Earth. On Voyager the whole crew and several Romulans celebrate while drinking Romulan Ale.
As for episode 18, that will show us how Neelix and his girlfriend adapt to living on Earth. Rumors are floating around that we will see the Sisko family in this episode!

A Bermuda Triangle connection?!?! I really don't think so. Where oh where did this info come from?
That all seems like WAY too quick of a wrap up. I wouldn't mind seeing Voyager get home mid-way through the season, but they'd better have something to do once they get back to the Alpha Quadrant. They should arrive in the middle of some sort of conflict, conspiracy or something. It also needs to be something to do with Voyager! We can't go 6 1/2 years with a storyline revolving around the crew trying to get home and then complately change topics for the last 10 or so episodes. There needs to be some tie-in to something Voyager has done in the past, and I don't mean an invasion by Species 8472!!

After 6 six years getting home in one episode would be lame, I personally think it ought to be a small story arc of events that eventually lead up to it.

OH MY GOD, THE WRITERS ARE HIGH ON SOMETHING IF THEY MAKE OR EVEN CONSIDER THAT KIND OF HOMECOMMING!!!!!!!!
On a side note, at least the Romulan connection is included along with the Aerowing and maybe a reason why no one ever thought that Voyager is in the Beta Quad.

I was brainstorming about how a Voyager homecoming episode looks like, and this was the result. Maybe a 'find the typical Voyager flaws' contest would be nice... hmmmm...
I think many of the flaws were covered up nicely. Only a few really break out.
